OUR COMMITTEES
Are you up for getting a bit more involved with Boosters? Volunteers who are interested in committing a bit more energy can join one of our committees.
Programming
Who are we? Our Programming Committee organizes fun activities and events for students and their and families.
When do we meet? Third Thursday of the month, September - June, 3pm in the library. Meetings are open to the public and include event brainstorming and planning.
Who is this a great fit for? Anyone who enjoys working with students and enjoys being part of a team to work through the details. While age-appropriate planning skills are helpful, no experience or long-term commitments are required.

Where have you seen us in action? Family Field Day, Game Night, Movie Night, Teacher & Staff Appreciation week, etc.
Outreach
Who are we? Our Outreach Committee are ambassadors for our organization. We can't wait to tell you about BHCS Boosters!
When do we meet? As needed. Most business is covered during board of director meetings.
Who is this a great fit for? Outgoing people who enjoy connecting with others. We're a chatty bunch and happy to answer your questions.

See us in action: Back to School Welcome Coffee, BHCS Boosters stickers and shopping bags, Winter Clothing Swap, social media posts, etc.
Development & Fundraising
Who are we? Our Development Committee looks for opportunities to develop resources and raise the funds we need to make the magic happen.
When do we meet? As needed. Most business is covered during board of director meetings. Additional committee meetings are scheduled for major activities.
Who is this a great fit for? Anyone with an interest in raising money through our active or passive fundraisers. A knack for numbers isn't required but is helpful if you want to help out behind the scenes with data management. We do not make face-to-face direct solicitations. The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential for some tasks.

Where have you seen us in action? Annual appeal, Hannaford Gift Cards, BoxTops for Education, Amazon Smile, etc.
Governance
Who are we? Our Governance Committee helps maintain smooth board options. We recruit and identify new board members, thank outgoing board members, and ensure that our by-laws remain up-to-date.
When do we meet? As needed throughout the year to identify, recruit, and help with the transition of board members.
Who is this a great fit for? Anyone who has some board experience or an appreciation for policies and protocols! The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.

Where have you seen us in action? New board member announcements, recognition of outgoing board members, etc.
Executive
Who are we? Our Executive Committee is made up of the officers of our board of directors; president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. This committee is responsible for maintaining the official records of the organization, running the BoD monthly meetings, and approving grant requests under $200.
When do we meet? As needed.
Who is this a great fit for? Membership is automatic when a board member is voted into one of these positions.
